PSG step aside as financial demands prove too high
Paris Saint-Germain have officially withdrawn from the race to sign RB Leipzig sensation Yan Diomande, leaving Real Madrid in a commanding position to secure one of Europe's most sought-after teenage talents.
In a statement released to Sky Sports Germany, the reigning Ligue 1 and Champions League winners confirmed they would no longer pursue the Ivory Coast international, citing concerns over the scale of the financial package required to complete the transfer.

The French giants insisted that both the transfer fee requested by RB Leipzig and the player's salary expectations were "completely disproportionate" and inconsistent with the club's commitment to maintaining financial discipline and squad balance.
Real Madrid now leading negotiations
With PSG stepping away, Real Madrid have emerged as overwhelming favourites to land the 19-year-old forward.
The Spanish giants are understood to be pushing aggressively to finalise an agreement after already seeing an opening offer worth £85.4 million (€100 million) rejected by RB Leipzig. The Bundesliga club continue to demand a significantly higher fee before considering a sale.
Despite the setback in negotiations, Madrid have already reached personal terms with Diomande, putting them in a strong position should the clubs eventually agree on a transfer fee.
A dramatic change after Diomande initially favoured PSG

The latest developments mark a significant shift in a transfer saga that appeared destined to end in Paris earlier this summer.
Diomande had previously expressed a preference to join PSG and even agreed contractual terms on a deal running until 2031. However, negotiations between the French champions and Leipzig ultimately collapsed over financial differences, opening the door for Real Madrid to seize the initiative.
The change in circumstances has transformed Los Blancos from challengers into clear frontrunners.
Premier League giants remain interested
Although Madrid currently hold the advantage, competition has not completely disappeared.
Liverpool remain admirers of Diomande but are reportedly unwilling to exceed £85 million for the teenager, effectively placing them behind Real Madrid in the race.
Arsenal and Manchester City also continue to monitor the player's situation, although neither club has yet matched Madrid's determination to complete a deal.
Arsenal also exploring Vinicius Junior possibility

Interestingly, Arsenal's transfer plans could eventually intersect with Real Madrid's.
The Gunners are understood to be exploring a potential move for Vinicius Junior, whose contract enters its final year. While no formal negotiations have taken place, Arsenal have identified the Brazilian as one of several elite attacking targets alongside Julian Alvarez, Bradley Barcola and Diomande himself.
Should Vinicius fail to agree a contract extension, Real Madrid could become open to selling rather than risk losing one of their biggest stars for nothing next summer.
Bayern dismiss speculation over Michael Olise
Elsewhere, Bayern Munich have rejected speculation linking Michael Olise with a move to Real Madrid.
Sporting director Christoph Freund insisted the French winger remains central to Bayern's long-term plans and dismissed reports suggesting the Spanish giants could make an approach.
The comments underline Madrid's current focus on Diomande, who appears to be their priority attacking target this summer.
From LaLiga relegation to Europe's hottest prospect
Diomande's rise has been nothing short of extraordinary.
Only a year ago, the teenager had made just six senior starts for Leganés during their relegation campaign in La Liga, scoring twice despite limited opportunities. Those performances convinced RB Leipzig to invest €20 million in his potential.
Since arriving in Germany, the explosive forward has rapidly developed into one of the Bundesliga's brightest young stars. Blessed with exceptional pace, fearless dribbling and natural attacking instinct, Diomande has attracted interest from many of Europe's biggest clubs.
With PSG now out of the picture and personal terms already agreed, Real Madrid appear closer than ever to securing the signature of one of world football's most exciting young attackers.
