Margot Robbie Turns Heads During Paris Getaway with Her Mother: The Fulfilling Life of a Hollywood Star Beyond the Spotlight

Margot Robbie has once again captured international attention after being spotted enjoying a shopping trip in Paris, France, with her mother, Sarie Kessler. Without a large entourage or a grand public appearance, the Australian actress effortlessly became the center of attention thanks to her elegant fashion sense and the close relationship she shares with her mother, who has stood by her through many of life’s defining moments.

Walking through the streets of Paris, Margot wore a butter-yellow silk co-ord adorned with delicate lace details. She completed the sophisticated look with black ballet flats, oversized sunglasses, a black leather handbag, and a simple bucket hat. Wearing her signature blonde hair loose, the Barbie star embodied understated elegance while maintaining her signature effortless style.

By her side was Sarie Kessler, who looked equally chic in a brown top paired with beige chinos and suede sandals. The mother-daughter duo appeared relaxed as they strolled and shopped together, with fans praising the genuine bond they share. Their outing offered a rare glimpse into the personal life of one of Hollywood’s biggest stars.

Margot Robbie has often spoken about the special relationship she has with her mother. Beyond accompanying her to public events, Sarie has played a pivotal role in Margot’s journey from childhood to becoming one of the most influential actresses in the film industry.

That close family connection was further highlighted when it was recently revealed that Margot had purchased the $28 million Redwood estate in Currumbin Valley, Queensland, Australia. Located near the area where she grew up, the luxurious property represents something of a homecoming after years of living abroad.

According to property records, the sale was finalized in June last year, making it the most expensive residential property transaction ever recorded in Queensland. The sprawling seven-acre estate features six bedrooms, six bathrooms, parking for ten vehicles, horse stables, a swimming pool, a tennis court, and expansive natural surroundings.

Many fans noted that the home’s sleek contemporary architecture, expansive glass walls, and spacious balconies resemble the glamorous lifestyle associated with Barbie. For Margot, however, the property’s greatest value lies not in its luxury but in the childhood memories connected to the surrounding landscape.

During a 2019 interview with Vogue Australia alongside her mother, Margot fondly recalled growing up in Currumbin Valley. She said: “Do you remember when we lived in Currumbin Valley, I would always do my homework in a tree?”

She continued by describing the simple experiences that often surprise friends who grew up in major cities: “I’ve said that to friends now who grew up in New York City or London and they have no idea what I mean. And I say: ‘Well, there were camphor laurel trees down the back past the paddock and Mum could yell out the window when dinner was ready’.”

Margot concluded with a heartfelt reflection on her upbringing: “You realise how lucky you are to have grown up on the Gold Coast.”

Born in Queensland, Australia, in 1990, Margot Robbie was raised primarily by her mother after her parents separated. Sarie Kessler, a physiotherapist, single-handedly supported and raised her four children. Margot has repeatedly credited her mother as the person who inspired her to pursue acting while teaching her and her siblings the importance of independence and hard work.

Before becoming an international movie star, Margot began her career appearing in television commercials before landing a breakthrough role in the long-running Australian soap opera Neighbours. The series served as the launching pad that eventually opened the doors to Hollywood.

In 2013, Margot moved from Australia to pursue an acting career in the United States. Her performance as Naomi Lapaglia opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in The Wolf of Wall Street catapulted her to worldwide fame. She went on to star in acclaimed films including Focus, Suicide Squad, I, Tonya, Mary Queen of Scots, Bombshell, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, firmly establishing herself as one of the leading actresses of her generation.

Beyond acting, Margot has also earned recognition as a successful producer through LuckyChap Entertainment, the production company she co-founded. LuckyChap has been behind several critically acclaimed projects, including Promising Young Woman, Maid, and especially Barbie, a film that not only achieved remarkable commercial success but also sparked widespread discussions about gender roles and modern womanhood.

Released in 2023, Barbie grossed approximately $1.4 billion worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing film of the year and one of the most successful movies in cinema history. In addition to starring in the film, Margot served as a producer, playing a key role in bringing the project to life.

This year, she returned both in front of and behind the camera for the new film adaptation of Wuthering Heights, starring opposite Jacob Elordi. The project attracted significant attention from the moment it was announced, as it is based on one of the most celebrated novels in English literature.

Away from the cameras, Margot also enjoys a stable and admired marriage. She met British producer Tom Ackerley in 2013 while working together on the romantic war drama Suite Française. At the time, they lived in a shared house in Clapham, London, with several members of the film crew. Their friendship gradually developed into a romance, and they married in 2016.

Unlike many celebrity couples in Hollywood, Margot and Tom have chosen to keep their private life largely out of the spotlight. They rarely discuss their relationship publicly and have managed to avoid the scandals that often surround high-profile stars. In 2024, they welcomed their first son, beginning a new chapter as parents.

Today, Margot Robbie divides her time between Los Angeles, London, and Australia as she balances an international career with family life. Despite becoming one of Hollywood’s most influential actresses, she continues to return home regularly and prioritize time with her loved ones. Her shopping trip through Paris with her mother was therefore far more than a casual outing—it served as another reminder of the enduring bond between Margot Robbie and the woman who supported her from her earliest dreams to the heights of international stardom.
