Freddy Brazier has found himself at the center of public attention in the UK after his beloved dog, Pablo, was taken into police custody following two separate attacks that left both Freddy and his grandmother, Jackiey Budden, requiring hospital treatment. Despite suffering a severe bite that left a large hole in his arm, the son of late television star Jade Goody insists he does not want to lose the dog he considers part of his family.

According to British media reports, the incident occurred when Freddy visited his grandmother Jackiey Budden’s home in London to collect Pablo. While interacting with the dog, Pablo suddenly attacked, leaving Freddy with serious injuries to his right arm that required emergency medical treatment.
Recalling the terrifying ordeal, Freddy said: “I couldn’t feel anything in my right arm. But then I saw blood coming out of my tracksuit. I pulled it up and saw a 3cm hole in my arm. It was terrifying.”
Following the attack, Pablo was seized by police and placed in secure kennels while authorities investigate the incident. What has devastated Freddy the most is the possibility that the dog could be euthanized if officials determine he poses a danger to the public.
Even so, the 21-year-old remains desperate to be reunited with Pablo. He said: “I want my dog back, but my nan has told me that he can’t go back to her house, and my dad won’t have him at his house. I’ve never seen him as just my dog—he’s like my son. He’s in police kennels and I’m probably never going to see my dog again.”
This was not Pablo’s first aggressive incident. Just days before Freddy was bitten, his grandmother Jackiey Budden had also been attacked by the same dog. According to reports, neighbors called both the police and the fire brigade after hearing screams coming from the house.

During the first incident, Jackiey suffered injuries after Pablo clamped onto her and required medical treatment once she was freed. However, authorities decided not to pursue criminal action against the dog’s owner at that time.
Only a few days later, Pablo attacked again when Freddy arrived to collect him. According to a source close to the family, the dog was still highly agitated following the earlier incident, and Freddy became the next victim. He initially went to the emergency department but left because of the lengthy waiting time. The following day, doctors determined that his injuries were more serious than first believed, forcing him to return for stitches and several hours of treatment.
A family source revealed: “It’s been a shocking few days. Freddy is absolutely devastated because he adores that dog, and Pablo is a huge part of the family.”
Freddy’s deep affection for Pablo has never been a secret. In the past, he has openly admitted that he often feels a stronger connection with animals than with people. While working at the London Dog Club daycare center, Freddy once wrote on social media: “Do you prefer dogs or people? Personally, at this moment in time, I prefer dogs.” After his brother Bobby Brazier responded with laughing emojis, Freddy replied: “People are draining, dogs are healing.”
That emotional attachment to Pablo had previously caused tension in Freddy’s personal life. Last year, British media reported that he and his former girlfriend Holly Swinburn had a major argument over the dog, and their relationship eventually came to an end.
Freddy and Holly welcomed their first daughter, Isla Jade Brazier, in March this year. The baby’s middle name, Jade, was chosen in memory of Freddy’s late mother, Jade Goody. However, the couple’s family life soon became strained as disagreements between them intensified.
Earlier this year, Freddy moved out of the home he shared with Holly following an argument involving his grandmother Jackiey Budden. According to reports, Holly did not want Jackiey to spend time with their daughter because she was concerned that Jackiey’s lifestyle could negatively influence their family. After leaving, Freddy was said to have moved back in with his grandmother in southeast London.

Freddy’s relationship with Jackiey has also experienced its share of ups and downs. At one point, he posted a TikTok video claiming he had realized his grandmother had lied to him for years. However, the pair reportedly reconciled before Christmas and resumed their close relationship.
Jackiey Budden has remained a controversial figure within the Brazier family since Jade Goody died from cervical cancer in 2009. Freddy’s father, television presenter Jeff Brazier, has repeatedly clashed with his late wife’s mother over the upbringing of his two sons. At one stage, Jeff reportedly sought a court order to limit Jackiey’s contact with Freddy, believing she had a negative influence on him.
Born in 2004, Freddy Brazier is the youngest son of reality television star Jade Goody and television presenter Jeff Brazier. After losing his mother at a young age, Freddy and his older brother Bobby were raised by their father. Growing up under the shadow of his mother’s fame meant Freddy spent much of his childhood in the public eye.
Unlike his older brother Bobby, who has built a successful career as a model and actor—particularly through his role in EastEnders—Freddy has largely chosen a quieter life. Although he occasionally appears on television and social media, he is best known for speaking candidly about his mental health struggles and the challenges he has faced growing up.
Late last year, Freddy worried fans after revealing that he had gone through a severe mental health crisis before turning 18. In a TikTok video, he disclosed that he had once “tried to end it all” by deliberately crashing his car during a manic episode. His openness gave the public greater insight into the emotional pressures he has endured while growing up in the spotlight.

Alongside those personal struggles, Freddy has repeatedly found himself making headlines because of his complicated relationship with his grandmother, his romantic life, and his willingness to share intimate moments of his life online. Nevertheless, those close to him describe him as someone deeply compassionate, especially when it comes to his family and his love for animals.
For now, Pablo’s fate remains uncertain as authorities continue their investigation into the attacks and assess whether the dog poses an ongoing danger. While that process continues, Freddy Brazier remains hopeful that a solution can be found that will allow Pablo to survive and eventually return home. To him, Pablo is far more than a pet—he is a loyal companion who has stood by him through some of the most difficult moments of his life, making the possibility of losing him forever even more painful than the physical wounds left on his arm.
