West Wilson’s Alleged Attempt to Shake Up ‘Summer House’ Cast Sparks Drama Behind the Scenes

The world of reality television is often built around friendships, romance, and personal conflicts, but behind the cameras, competition and disagreements can sometimes become just as intense. West Wilson, one of the newer faces of Bravo’s hit reality series “Summer House,” has reportedly found himself at the center of a major controversy after allegations surfaced that he attempted to have longtime cast members Lindsay Hubbard, Kyle Cooke, and Carl Radke removed from the show.

According to sources, Wilson allegedly tried to convince producers that the long-standing members of the cast were no longer essential to the series, a move that reportedly contributed to him not returning for Season 11. However, a representative for Wilson strongly denied the accusations, calling the claims “categorically false.”

The controversy reportedly began when Wilson allegedly shared his opinions about the direction of the show with producers. One source claimed that the 31-year-old podcaster argued that Lindsay Hubbard should not continue filming after becoming a mother because the show was originally centered around single people enjoying summer life together.

The insider claimed that Wilson told producers Lindsay “shouldn’t film pregnant and being a new mom because it’s a show about singles and having fun in the summer.” Hubbard, who welcomed her daughter Gemma in 2024 with her former boyfriend Turner Kufe, was reportedly upset after learning about the alleged comments.

“Amanda [Batula] knew about that and Lindsay was pissed,” the source claimed.

The situation reportedly expanded beyond Hubbard, with sources alleging that Wilson also attempted to make Kyle Cooke and Carl Radke appear negatively to producers. According to the allegations, Wilson suggested that “Summer House” could become a better show with him and a new group of friends instead of the original cast members who helped establish the series.

Cooke, Hubbard, and Radke have been central figures on “Summer House” since its early seasons. Their friendships, conflicts, relationships, and personal struggles have shaped much of the show’s identity. Kyle Cooke, one of the original stars, has been involved in the series since its debut and became known for his entrepreneurial ambitions, relationship with Amanda Batula, and emotional moments throughout the show’s run.

Carl Radke also became one of the most recognizable personalities from the series. His journey, including his struggles with personal growth, career changes, and his complicated relationship with Hubbard, became one of the major storylines featured on the show. Lindsay Hubbard, meanwhile, has remained one of the strongest personalities in the cast, often known for her direct approach and willingness to confront conflicts openly.

West Wilson joined “Summer House” during Season 8 and quickly became a notable addition to the group. With his outgoing personality and connection with other cast members, he gained attention from viewers and became involved in several major storylines. His relationship with Amanda Batula later became one of the biggest surprises surrounding the cast.

Wilson and Batula reportedly began dating shortly after Batula separated from Kyle Cooke in January following four years of marriage. Their romance created tension within the friend group, especially because the relationship was not immediately shared openly with everyone around them.

Before becoming involved with Wilson, Batula had been one of the most established members of the “Summer House” group. She joined the series during the first season as Cooke’s girlfriend before becoming a full-time cast member. Over the years, viewers watched her relationship with Cooke evolve from romance to marriage and eventually reach a difficult period.

Wilson’s romantic history with the cast also added another layer of drama. He previously dated Ciara Miller, Amanda Batula’s former close friend, for several months in 2023. The pair even shared a kiss during Season 10, making Wilson’s later relationship with Batula even more complicated within the group dynamic.

Reports also suggested that Wilson’s decision not to return was influenced by how he presented his personal life on the show. Sources claimed that his reluctance to openly share his dating life, including relationships with women outside the cast, became another issue during his time on the series.

Following the rumors about Wilson’s alleged actions, Lindsay Hubbard publicly addressed her frustration. She claimed that Wilson had repeatedly attempted to damage her position on the show.

“West has tried to threaten my career / show now 3 times and it’s quite frankly, disgusting. No other word to describe it,” Hubbard wrote.

She also referenced comments Wilson previously made on his podcast “Show Me Something,” where he reportedly said there was “no way” Hubbard would return to the show after having a baby. The remarks added to the tension between the two cast members and intensified speculation about the future of their relationship.

Despite the accusations, another source described Wilson’s exit from “Summer House” as a mutual decision between him and the network. The insider claimed that Wilson already felt his time on the series was coming to an end by the time the Season 10 reunion approached.

“It became even clearer that there wasn’t a long-term fit anymore,” the source explained, adding that Wilson was “at peace” with the outcome.

After leaving the reality show, Wilson reportedly shifted his focus toward his podcast and other business projects. Although his time on “Summer House” was relatively short compared with original cast members, he became one of the personalities most discussed by viewers because of his relationships and conflicts.

Meanwhile, the relationship between Wilson and Batula reportedly caused a significant divide among the cast. Sources claimed that the group felt their friendship had changed after the couple’s romance became public, creating tension that extended beyond the cameras.

“The cast doesn’t want to film with him,” one insider claimed, while also noting that Batula remained friendly with Jesse Solomon and her estranged husband Kyle Cooke.

As of now, Batula’s future on the show has reportedly become uncertain. While she remains connected to some members of the group, the fallout from the relationship and the surrounding controversy has changed the dynamic among the cast.

The drama surrounding West Wilson highlights the complicated nature of reality television, where personal relationships, friendships, and career opportunities often become closely connected. For “Summer House,” a series built around documenting real-life friendships and conflicts, the latest controversy has become another chapter in the ongoing story of a group whose relationships continue to evolve both on and off screen.

The upcoming special episode “Summer House: The Aftermath” is expected to explore the fallout further, featuring conversations between Wilson and Cooke, as well as Batula and Hubbard. The episode offers viewers a closer look at the tensions that developed after the reunion and the changing friendships within the cast.
