Vin Diesel has revealed that he has just finished reading the script for Fast Forever — the 11th installment and final chapter of the Fast & Furious franchise. Taking to social media, the actor admitted he was deeply moved, calling it “the best script” he has read in decades and revealing that he was still emotional after finishing it.

Alongside a trailer promoting the theatrical re-release of The Fast and the Furious in celebration of the film's 25th anniversary, Vin Diesel shared a heartfelt message with fans. He wrote: “I just read the Fast Forever script by Michael Lesslie. It is the best script I have read in decades. I am still crying.”
The actor also hinted at what audiences can expect from the franchise's long-awaited finale. He added: “When March 17, 2028 comes... you will thank God you got to see the first one in theaters this summer.” His comments quickly generated excitement among fans, suggesting that he has tremendous confidence in the emotional impact of the concluding chapter.
According to current plans, Fast Forever is scheduled to arrive in theaters in 2028 as the direct sequel to 2023's Fast X. The film will once again be directed by Louis Leterrier, who took over directing duties during the production of Fast X. The finale was originally expected to arrive much earlier but has undergone several production delays.

Fast Forever is widely expected to serve as the farewell to one of Hollywood's most successful action franchises. Alongside Vin Diesel as Dominic Toretto, familiar cast members including Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang, Jason Statham, John Cena, Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron, Jason Momoa, Brie Larson, and Alan Ritchson are all expected to return.
As early as 2024, Vin Diesel confirmed that the upcoming installment would officially conclude the Fast & Furious saga. He has repeatedly emphasized that the filmmakers want to bring the franchise to an ending worthy of the audience that has supported it for more than 25 years.
One of the most exciting revelations came from Vin Diesel during last year's FuelFest event. The actor explained that the final movie would return to the franchise's roots by focusing once again on car culture and street racing rather than the globe-spanning missions that have dominated recent installments.
Diesel also teased what many longtime fans have been hoping to see for years: a reunion between Dominic Toretto and Brian O'Conner. “That is what you're going to get in the finale,” he said, without revealing exactly how the filmmakers intend to bring Paul Walker's beloved character back to the screen.
Paul Walker, who portrayed Brian O'Conner from the very first Fast & Furious film, tragically died in a car accident in 2013 at the age of 40. At the time of his passing, Furious 7 was still in production. The filmmakers completed his remaining scenes using CGI, archival footage, and the assistance of his brothers, Caleb and Cody Walker, who served as stand-ins.
Paul Walker's death remains one of the most emotional moments in the franchise's history. Since then, Vin Diesel has repeatedly spoken about considering Paul part of his family and has often expressed his desire to end the series in a way that properly honors his late friend.
Born in California in 1967, Vin Diesel's real name is Mark Sinclair. He began his acting career with small roles before attracting attention through his independent short film Multi-Facial, which he wrote, directed, produced, and starred in himself. The project caught the attention of Steven Spielberg, who subsequently cast him in Saving Private Ryan.

The defining breakthrough of Diesel's career came in 2001 with his portrayal of Dominic Toretto in The Fast and the Furious. His performance as the tough but family-oriented leader transformed him into one of Hollywood's most recognizable action stars. Beyond Fast & Furious, he also built successful franchises with xXx, The Chronicles of Riddick, and earned worldwide recognition as the voice of Groot in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy films.
In addition to acting, Vin Diesel has served as a producer on multiple Fast & Furious installments. Over the past decade, he has played a major role in shaping the franchise's creative direction, from casting decisions to the overall storylines that have defined its evolution.
Despite his global fame, Vin Diesel has maintained a relatively private personal life. Although he has never married, he has been in a long-term relationship with Mexican model Paloma Jiménez, and together they have three children. Unlike many Hollywood celebrities, Diesel rarely discusses his family publicly and has consistently worked to keep his personal life separate from his career.
In recent years, however, the actor has also faced controversy. In late 2023, a former assistant filed a lawsuit accusing him of sexual misconduct stemming from an all

eged incident years earlier. Vin Diesel has denied all allegations and stated that he intends to defend himself through the legal process. Although the case attracted widespread media attention, it has not altered his central role within the Fast & Furious franchise.
After more than 25 years, the Fast & Furious series has generated over $7 billion at the global box office, making it one of the highest-grossing film franchises of all time. In addition to the final movie, Universal is also developing a television series based on the Fast & Furious universe, further expanding the world that Vin Diesel helped build.
Vin Diesel's latest comments suggest that Fast Forever will be far more than simply another action blockbuster. Instead, it appears intended as a heartfelt tribute to more than two decades of memories shared by the cast, crew, and audiences around the world. By calling it “the best script” he has read in decades and admitting that he is “still crying” after reading it, Diesel has only heightened anticipation that the franchise's final chapter will deliver an emotional farewell worthy of the family-centered legacy that has always defined Fast & Furious.
