The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Cast Unfollows Taylor Frankie Paul Amid Escalating Feud

Taylor Frankie Paul has once again found herself at the center of public attention as her relationship with the cast of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives appears to have reached a breaking point. After months of behind-the-scenes tensions, several members of the reality series have reportedly unfollowed the 32-year-old star on social media, fueling speculation that the fractures within the group have gone far beyond ordinary disagreements.

According to multiple reports, Miranda Hope and Layla Taylor are among those who no longer follow Taylor Frankie Paul online. However, the situation reportedly began when Paul herself unfollowed them first, prompting Hope and Taylor to do the same. At present, Jessi Draper appears to be the only cast member who still maintains a social media connection with Paul. Draper has previously spoken publicly in support of her during her ongoing legal troubles.

Layla Taylor explained that she decided to unfollow Taylor Frankie Paul after realizing that Paul was no longer following her. Meanwhile, Miranda Hope admitted that she never understood why Paul had unfollowed her in the first place, but said she no longer wanted to continue “investing in something one sided.” Their comments quickly caught the attention of loyal viewers, who have closely followed the evolving tensions within the MomTok circle.

The wave of unfollows came only days after Whitney Leavitt also removed Taylor Frankie Paul from her Instagram following list. Fans quickly noticed the move, and when asked about it, Paul responded with a single word: “Good.”

Paul later elaborated on her feelings through social media, explaining that what hurt her most was not being unfollowed but the fact that Whitney Leavitt had once received unwavering support from her. She wrote, “I bet she doesn’t even recall that. The show I gave her grace against a whole cast MULTIPLE times.”

Although Paul said she was genuinely happy to see Leavitt succeed—including competing on Dancing with the Stars and appearing in the Broadway production of Chicago—she admitted feeling deeply disappointed. She wrote, “Let’s be honest, she’s been waiting for my downfall since day one, and she still ain’t gonna get it because she could have everything and still chose not to reach a hand.” According to Paul, the greatest disappointment was that Leavitt did not stand beside her during the most difficult period of her life.

Paul’s conflicts have not been limited to Whitney Leavitt. Earlier, she also became embroiled in a public dispute with fellow cast member Mikayla Matthews following a controversial TikTok video. In the clip, Paul shared screenshots of messages that appeared to come from her talent agent, highlighting lucrative opportunities such as new television projects and even a potential book deal. Many interpreted the video as suggesting that she was largely responsible for creating the success enjoyed by her co-stars.

Matthews strongly disagreed with that implication. She wrote, “It’s honestly crazy that we’re even arguing about who created what or who’s more relevant.” She emphasized that the show had originally been pitched by several women, including herself, Mayci Neeley, Whitney Leavitt, and Taylor Frankie Paul, centering on the lives of stay-at-home mothers and the MomTok community, which she said was founded by Miranda, Camille, and Taylor together.

Matthews also criticized Paul’s repeated attempts to reinforce the narrative that she was the driving force behind everyone’s success. She commented, “Constantly reposting things and repeatedly pushing the narrative of, ‘I’m the reason you have this… Don’t forget it,’ seems like weaponizing and manipulating your following to keep yourself in that power position.” In Matthews’ view, such behavior created an unhealthy power dynamic and intimidated those around her.

Alongside the growing tensions within the cast, Taylor Frankie Paul has also been dealing with a series of legal issues. Earlier this year, a Utah court ordered both Paul and her former partner, Dakota Mortensen, to stay away from each other for three years following allegations related to domestic violence. The ruling marked another chapter in the increasingly contentious aftermath of their relationship.

Not long afterward, Paul was granted a temporary restraining order against Cru Eaton, a friend of Dakota Mortensen, in a civil stalking case. Court filings alleged that Eaton had posted a private video of Paul online without her permission.

Previously, in March 2026, Utah authorities confirmed that open domestic violence investigations involving both Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen were still underway. During that period, an old video resurfaced online showing Paul striking Mortensen and throwing metal chairs at him, further escalating public scrutiny surrounding the case.

Following the video’s circulation, Paul was reportedly removed from the latest season of The Bachelorette, while production on Season 5 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives was temporarily suspended. These developments significantly impacted her public image and sparked widespread discussion about the future of her reality television career.

For his part, Dakota Mortensen released a measured public statement. He wrote, “I’m not perfect, and I take accountability for my part. I’m sincerely sorry to those I’ve hurt. I’m closing an unhealthy chapter and moving forward with hope for better days ahead.” Mortensen added that his primary focus now is raising his son, Ever, and building a healthier future.

Taylor Frankie Paul first rose to prominence in 2022 as one of the leading faces of the MomTok community on TikTok. Her content primarily focused on family life, marriage, and motherhood within the Mormon community in Utah. Her relatable storytelling and candid personality quickly attracted millions of viewers, establishing her as one of the platform’s most influential content creators.

Her profile grew even larger after she publicly revealed that members of the MomTok circle had participated in “soft swinging,” a form of partner swapping with agreed-upon boundaries. The revelation shocked social media, triggered widespread debate about the private lives of Mormon families in Utah, and ultimately served as the inspiration for Hulu’s The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, which explores the hidden realities behind the seemingly perfect lives of social media influencers.

Before beginning her relationship with Dakota Mortensen, Taylor Frankie Paul was married to Tate Paul, with whom she shares two children. Their marriage ended in the wake of the soft swinging controversy. She later entered a turbulent relationship with Mortensen, and the couple welcomed their son, Ever. However, their relationship was marked by repeated breakups and reconciliations before eventually descending into ongoing legal disputes.

Despite repeated controversies, Taylor Frankie Paul continues to command a substantial following on both TikTok and Instagram. Nearly every post, public statement, or interaction involving her and the cast of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives quickly becomes a topic of discussion across social media, underscoring the significant influence she still holds despite the damage to her public image in recent years.

For now, there appears to be little sign of reconciliation between Taylor Frankie Paul and most of her fellow cast members. The unfollows, public statements, and ongoing disputes suggest that the divide within The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives continues to widen. As a result, the future of Taylor Frankie Paul’s reality television career—and her standing as a social media personality—may ultimately depend on whether she can move beyond these personal controversies and rebuild trust with both her colleagues and the public.
