Since its premiere, Prime Video’s romantic drama Off Campus has quickly become one of the most talked-about series among young audiences, not only because of its emotional storyline but also because of the undeniable chemistry and charisma of its male cast. Adapted from Elle Kennedy’s bestselling Off-Campus book series, the show has brought a new group of rising actors into the spotlight, with fans becoming fascinated by both their on-screen romances and their personal journeys away from the cameras.

Set at Briar University, Off Campus follows the complicated relationship between music student Hannah Wells and hockey captain Garrett Graham. Their story begins with a fake relationship created to help both of them achieve personal goals: Hannah wants to get closer to her crush Justin Kohl, while Garrett needs her academic support to pass a philosophy class. However, what starts as an arrangement gradually develops into something much deeper.

Beyond the central romance, the series also introduces a group of charismatic hockey players whose friendships and personal stories have become just as important to viewers. Dean Di Laurentis, John Logan, John Tucker, and Justin Kohl have each captured attention in their own way, creating a strong fan following around the actors portraying them.

The success of the series has been reflected in its streaming performance. Prime Video reported that Off Campus attracted 36 million viewers within its first 12 days of release, becoming one of the platform’s biggest series launches. The show’s popularity has transformed its young cast into some of the most talked-about new faces in romantic drama.

Among them, Belmont Cameli has emerged as one of the biggest breakout stars through his role as Garrett Graham, the confident captain of the Briar Hawks hockey team. Born on February 28, 1998, in Naperville, Illinois, Belmont grew up with a strong connection to sports before entering the entertainment industry.

Long before becoming known as Garrett, Belmont was an athlete. During high school, he participated in several sports, including football, volleyball, and wrestling. His athletic background later became an advantage when he stepped into the world of acting, especially for roles requiring physical presence and confidence.

After studying business at the University of Illinois, Belmont made the decision to leave school and pursue entertainment opportunities. He spent time in Chicago exploring modeling before eventually moving to Los Angeles in 2019, where he focused on building an acting career.

His first steps in the industry came with a small appearance in the television series Empire in 2018. Although it was a minor role, it marked the beginning of his professional journey. He later gained wider recognition when he played Jamie Spano in the Saved by the Bell reboot, the son of Elizabeth Berkley’s iconic character Jessie Spano.

However, Off Campus became the major turning point in Belmont’s career. As Garrett Graham, he portrays a talented hockey player who appears confident and successful but must learn about vulnerability, responsibility, and emotional connection. His chemistry with Hannah Wells has become one of the reasons viewers continue to follow the series.

Away from acting, Belmont has also attracted attention for his personal values. In 2018, before becoming widely recognized as a rising Hollywood actor, he made headlines for his decision to help save lives through organ donation. According to reports, Belmont volunteered to become a kidney donor after learning that a friend needed a transplant. Although he was not a direct match, he joined a paired kidney exchange program and donated his kidney to a stranger, becoming part of a chain that helped multiple people receive transplants.

This personal story has added another dimension to Belmont’s public image, showing a side beyond his television roles. He has also shared his appreciation for nature and frequently posts moments from outdoor trips, reflecting a lifestyle that balances his growing career with quieter personal interests.

While Belmont leads the series as Garrett, Stephen Kalyn has become another standout figure through his portrayal of Dean Di Laurentis. Born on April 24, 1998, in Toronto, Canada, Stephen brings a unique connection to his role because of his own background in hockey.

Before acting, Stephen spent much of his childhood playing hockey. He started skating at the age of six and remained involved in the sport for years. That experience helped him understand the world of the Briar Hawks and added authenticity to his portrayal of Dean, one of the show’s most recognizable characters.

Stephen began his acting career with a small role in the Canadian medical drama Transplant in 2020. He later appeared in I Do, or Die: A Killer Arrangement before continuing to build his television career.

Before Off Campus, Stephen also appeared in Prime Video’s Gen V, the superhero spin-off connected to The Boys universe. In the series, he played Greg, a student at Godolkin University with special abilities, further expanding his experience in streaming productions.

His role as Dean Di Laurentis has become his biggest breakthrough. Dean is portrayed as charismatic, wealthy, and confident, but beneath that image lies a more complex character. The second season of Off Campus is expected to focus more heavily on Dean’s relationship with Allie Hayes, giving Stephen an opportunity to explore a deeper emotional storyline.

Stephen’s real-life relationship has also drawn attention from fans. He is reportedly engaged to longtime partner Victoria Lovatsis, who has supported his journey in entertainment. During interviews, Stephen has spoken about how important friendship is when building a relationship, describing it as “usually really fertile soil for a relationship.”

Antonio Cipriano brings another energy to the series through his role as John Logan, Garrett’s best friend and a forward for the Briar Hawks. Born and raised in Michigan, Antonio developed a passion for performance from a young age through theatre and music.

Before becoming an actor, Antonio trained with the Michigan Opera Theatre Children’s Chorus and participated in numerous theatre productions. His talent led him to represent Michigan at the National High School Musical Theatre Awards, also known as the Jimmy Awards, in 2017.

He later became part of the original production of Jagged Little Pill, the musical inspired by Alanis Morissette’s album. His theatre background helped shape his performance style before he transitioned further into screen acting.

Antonio gained additional recognition through Disney+’s National Treasure: Edge of History before joining Off Campus. As John Logan, he plays a character who combines charm with emotional depth, adding another layer to the group of hockey players at the center of the story.

Jalen Thomas Brooks represents the younger generation of the cast through his role as John Tucker. Born on October 12, 2001, in Las Vegas, Nevada, Jalen initially focused on basketball before discovering his passion for acting.

During his time at Liberty High School, he spent years playing sports before training at DreamTraxx Acting Academy in Las Vegas. That experience helped him transition into professional acting and eventually secure opportunities in television.

Jalen made his television debut in 2019 with an appearance in Supergirl. He later appeared in Animal Kingdom and Rebel, building experience before joining Off Campus.

His character John Tucker stands out because of his personality. Unlike traditional portrayals of confident athletes, John is described as kind, thoughtful, intelligent, and well-spoken, making him one of the more balanced personalities within Garrett’s friend group.

Meanwhile, Australian actor Josh Heuston takes on the role of Justin Kohl, the musician who initially catches Hannah Wells’ attention. Born on November 18, 1996, Josh grew up in Western Sydney, Australia.

Before entering acting, Josh was studying at university and working as a bartender when he was discovered and began modeling. His transition from modeling into entertainment eventually led him to acting opportunities.

Josh made his screen debut in the Australian teen thriller series Dive Club, where he gained recognition before moving into larger projects. His role as Justin Kohl in Off Campus introduces a different dynamic to the story, as his character becomes part of the romantic conflict that brings Hannah and Garrett together.

Although Off Campus is centered around romance, the popularity of the series has also come from the personal journeys of its cast. Each actor represents a different path into entertainment, from sports backgrounds and theatre training to modeling and television roles.

Unlike many young stars who become famous overnight, the actors behind Off Campus have spent years developing their skills before reaching this level of recognition. Their performances have allowed audiences to connect not only with the fictional characters but also with the personalities behind them.

The success of the series has placed Belmont Cameli, Stephen Kalyn, Antonio Cipriano, Jalen Thomas Brooks, and Josh Heuston at the beginning of what could become major careers. As the story continues and new seasons explore different romances from Elle Kennedy’s novels, the actors are expected to remain among the most closely followed rising stars in streaming entertainment.

For fans, Off Campus is not only a story about love, friendship, and university life. It is also the introduction of a new generation of actors whose journeys are just beginning.
