Paddy McGuinness is reportedly entering a new chapter in his personal life nearly four years after announcing his separation from wife Christine McGuinness. The British comedian and television presenter has been spotted with Emma Carey, a BBC Radio 2 publicist, during what appeared to be a date in London. The newly released photos have quickly attracted attention, marking the first serious romance rumors surrounding Paddy since the end of his more than decade-long marriage.

According to the published images, Paddy McGuinness and Emma Carey enjoyed dinner together at the five-star Rosewood Hotel before taking a stroll through the streets of London on Thursday evening. Reports claim the pair later headed to another nearby hotel. While they did not display overt public affection, they were seen chatting, laughing, and appearing completely at ease in each other's company.
Paddy currently hosts a weekly show on BBC Radio 2, where Emma Carey works as a publicist. At the time the photos were taken, the television personality was also staying in London while filling in as a guest presenter on ITV's This Morning.
In the photos, Paddy McGuinness wore a fitted black T-shirt that highlighted the muscular physique he achieved through the intense fitness routine he revealed earlier this year. Emma Carey, meanwhile, opted for a black halter-neck top paired with understated gold jewelry. She is also known for her passion for yoga and wellness, regularly sharing yoga sessions and wellness retreats in Thailand on social media.

One eyewitness described the pair's outing, saying, "Paddy looked so at ease with her. It was obvious they are incredibly comfortable together, and they laughed a lot. Fans will be thrilled to see him so happy after the anguish of his marriage split with Christine. It’s easy to see why he’s so smitten with Emma by his side. Paddy looked like the cat that got the cream."
Paddy McGuinness' representatives have not commented on the photographs or the speculation surrounding his relationship with Emma Carey.
The dating rumors come nearly four years after Paddy and Christine McGuinness announced their separation in 2022 following 11 years of marriage. Although no longer husband and wife, the pair have continued living together in the family home while co-parenting their three children, an arrangement that has frequently drawn public attention in the UK.
According to Christine, she and Paddy have maintained a positive relationship for the sake of their children. She has even revealed that they inform each other when they begin dating someone new in order to avoid unnecessary misunderstandings while continuing to share the same home.
In a recent interview, Christine opened up about the emotional impact of their divorce for the first time, saying, "Divorce is scary and it was scary for me - obviously, I've never done a divorce before! It's an awful time."

However, she admitted that many of her fears came from hearing negative stories about divorce. "But as much as it was challenging and difficult, a lot of the thoughts and feelings were really from listening to other people's stories. Obviously, you hear about divorce, you instantly think negativity, heartbreak and a broken family or whatever, you don't hear about other families that continue to share their home."
Paddy and Christine share three children—13-year-old twins Penelope and Leo, and their 10-year-old daughter Felicity—all of whom have been diagnosed with autism. Their children's needs have been the primary reason the former couple chose to remain under the same roof instead of selling the family home after separating.
Christine explained, "A lot of families that have got children with special educational needs choose to do it this way. Maybe they don't talk about it so much, but they're the ones who really get it and understand it."
She also believes their co-parenting arrangement has been a blessing rather than a burden. "I actually do think it is a blessing, the way we work co-parenting. It was always a decision from the beginning that no matter what, between me and Patrick, our priority is always the children."

Christine continued, "We're lucky that we genuinely get on so well. We're not in a rush to sell the house. We don't want to be putting the kids in mummy's house and then in daddy's house... our children thrive on routine. They love the home, and in my head it's the children's home for them to grow up in. I'd love my own little flat somewhere, but this is my home."
Following the breakdown of their marriage, Christine McGuinness also publicly revealed that she had begun dating women. However, she insisted she would never bring a partner back to the home she still shares with Paddy. "I would never do that. Like I said, this is the family home, and then Paddy and I have our lives outside. We don't introduce the children to just anybody. So certainly when it comes to dating, anything like that is going to take a very, very long time, like years, years and years."
Born in 1973, Paddy McGuinness is one of Britain's most recognizable television personalities. He rose to prominence as the host of the dating show Take Me Out before becoming a familiar face on programs including Top Gear, A Question of Sport, and, more recently, BBC Radio 2. His approachable humor and charismatic presenting style have helped him remain a popular figure in British entertainment for more than two decades.

In recent years, Paddy has also become an outspoken advocate for autism awareness. After all three of his children were diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, he has frequently spoken about his family's experiences to help raise public understanding of parents raising autistic children. Those shared experiences have also enabled him and Christine to maintain mutual respect despite the end of their marriage.
Christine McGuinness has likewise revealed that she herself was diagnosed with autism as an adult. She has said that understanding her diagnosis helped explain many of the challenges she experienced throughout her life, including difficulties within her marriage.
As of now, neither Paddy McGuinness nor Emma Carey has publicly confirmed a romantic relationship. Nevertheless, the pair's latest public appearance has fueled speculation that the television star may be embarking on a new chapter in his personal life. At the same time, Paddy and Christine continue to be viewed as one of the UK's rare celebrity ex-couples who have successfully maintained an amicable co-parenting arrangement, putting the stability and well-being of their three children above changes in their personal relationships.
