Brooklyn Beckham has once again drawn public attention after paying a heartfelt tribute to his father-in-law, billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz, as his strained relationship with the Beckham family continues to dominate headlines.

To celebrate Nelson Peltz’s 83rd birthday, Brooklyn shared a photo on his Instagram Stories showing the two with their arms around each other. Alongside the image, he wrote, “Happy birthday Nelson x I love u so much ❤️❤️.” He continued with another touching message: “I’m so happy I could celebrate you today! Thank you for being the best father in law ❤️❤️.”
His wife, Nicola Peltz, also honored her father with a series of family photos on Instagram. In a lengthy caption, the actress expressed her admiration, writing: “i feel truly blessed to have grown up watching you be such an incredible role model in every way possible. you’re the best father i could ever dream of. you love us all unconditionally, encourage us that our dreams are never too big to chase and to always always be a good human before all else.”
Brooklyn’s affectionate public tribute to his father-in-law stands in sharp contrast to his current relationship with his own family.

During Father’s Day weekend, David Beckham and Victoria Beckham celebrated with their younger sons, Romeo and Cruz, along with their girlfriends, at a gastro pub in West London. Brooklyn was notably absent from the family gathering.
Despite his absence, both David and Victoria included Brooklyn in their Father’s Day social media posts. They shared several throwback photos featuring their eldest son while expressing gratitude for their “beautiful” family.
Victoria posted a family portrait showing all four of her children—Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper—alongside David. Meanwhile, David shared a black-and-white childhood photo of all his children, including one in which Brooklyn is seen holding a baby Harper, as well as individual portraits with each of his children.
According to multiple reports, however, the gesture reportedly left Brooklyn deeply upset. The Sun claimed that he had previously asked his parents not to tag him or post photos of him on social media.
One insider said, “He’s fuming about it. He’s asked them to leave him alone and they just keep posting him.”
The source added, “It just brings the whole thing up all over again. He wishes they’d leave it and leave him alone.”
This is not the first time Brooklyn has publicly alluded to the ongoing family conflict. In a recent DoorDash commercial promoting the 2026 FIFA World Cup, he appeared holding tickets to the tournament before deciding to stay home instead.

When asked why he was not attending despite having tickets, Brooklyn told the camera, “It’s not like I don’t have tickets. It’s because… it’s a long story.” He then handed the tickets to a DoorDash delivery driver, a moment many viewers interpreted as a subtle reference to the tensions surrounding his family.
Shortly afterward, his younger brother Cruz Beckham appeared to respond with an Instagram Stories post while attending England’s World Cup match against Ghana alongside David Beckham in Boston. Cruz shared a photo of himself looking down at his phone rather than watching the match, adding the caption, “Don’t worry it was during the advertisement break.” Many fans viewed the post as a playful jab at Brooklyn’s DoorDash commercial.
The reported rift between Brooklyn Beckham and his family is widely believed to have intensified following his marriage to Nicola Peltz in 2022. Around the time of their lavish wedding, rumors of tension between Nicola and Victoria Beckham quickly spread, fueled in part by Nicola’s decision not to wear a wedding gown designed by Victoria Beckham’s fashion label. Although both women have repeatedly denied any feud, speculation surrounding divisions between the two families has persisted ever since.
In recent years, Brooklyn has spent most of his time living in the United States with Nicola. He frequently appears alongside the Peltz family and has openly expressed his affection for his parents-in-law and extended members of Nicola’s family. His increasingly close relationship with the Peltz family has attracted even more attention because Brooklyn was once considered the Beckham child closest to both David and Victoria.

Born in 1999, Brooklyn Beckham is the eldest son of former football superstar David Beckham and fashion designer Victoria Beckham. Growing up as part of one of Britain’s most famous families, he has lived much of his life in the public eye.
Unlike his father, Brooklyn chose not to pursue a professional football career. Instead, he has explored a variety of creative fields, including modeling, photography, publishing a photography book, and later launching the online cooking series Cookin’ With Brooklyn. Despite enjoying strong support from his family, he has often faced criticism for frequently changing career paths.
In 2023, Brooklyn expanded his entrepreneurial ambitions by launching his hot sauce brand, Cloud23, inspired by his passion for cooking. He has repeatedly stated that he hopes to establish himself as an independent businessman rather than simply being known as David Beckham’s son. Nevertheless, nearly every business venture he undertakes continues to attract widespread media attention due to the global prominence of both the Beckham and Peltz families.
On the personal front, Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz remain one of entertainment’s most closely watched couples. The pair began dating publicly in late 2019, announced their engagement in 2020, and married in an extravagant ceremony at the Peltz family estate in Palm Beach, Florida, in April 2022. The wedding received extensive international media coverage and welcomed numerous high-profile guests from the worlds of entertainment, fashion, and business.
Since marrying, Brooklyn has consistently made Nicola the center of his public life. He frequently shares affectionate tributes to his wife on social media and has repeatedly emphasized that she is his top priority. He has also stood firmly by her side whenever she has faced public criticism. Many observers believe this unwavering loyalty has further widened the distance between Brooklyn and the Beckham family.
Although David and Victoria Beckham have continued to signal their desire for reconciliation through public messages and family photographs, Brooklyn has never fully explained the reasons behind the estrangement. Recent events suggest that the relationship remains fractured. While David and Victoria continue to extend olive branches publicly, Brooklyn appears increasingly integrated into the Peltz family, openly describing Nelson Peltz as “the best father in law,” reinforcing the close bond he has built with his wife’s family as the distance from his own relatives shows little sign of narrowing.
