After nearly three years together and becoming one of the most influential couples in entertainment and sports, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are officially husband and wife. The global pop superstar and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end exchanged vows on July 3 during a lavish ceremony at Madison Square Garden in New York City, attended by approximately 1,000 guests, marking the beginning of a new chapter in one of the world’s most talked-about love stories.

Taylor Swift’s representative confirmed to PEOPLE that the glamorous ceremony took place inside the iconic Madison Square Garden. Moments after the couple were pronounced husband and wife, giant screens outside the venue lit up with the message “JUST&T MARRIED!”, celebrating their marriage with thousands of fans gathered outside.
According to Swift’s team, both the bride’s and groom’s wedding attire were created by Christian Dior Haute Couture, designed by Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director of Dior Women’s, Men’s and Haute Couture Collections. The wedding gown marked Anderson’s first haute couture bridal design for a globally renowned celebrity. Both Taylor and Travis wore custom-made Christian Louboutin shoes, while the bride completed her look with Cartier jewelry.
Taylor’s representative also revealed, “Taylor and Travis did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen. Instead, Taylor’s brother, Austin Swift, served as her Man of Honor, while Jason Kelce stood beside Travis as his Best Man. The ceremony brought both families together and was officiated by their friend Adam Sandler.”
Christian Dior later released its own official statement confirming that the fashion house had designed the wedding looks for the newlyweds. The company said the garments were handcrafted in Dior’s ateliers at 30 Avenue Montaigne in Paris through close collaboration between Jonathan Anderson and the couple. Dior also extended its congratulations to the bride and groom.

The wedding attracted an impressive guest list featuring some of the biggest names in entertainment, music, fashion, and sports. Among those spotted arriving in New York City were Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper, Dakota Johnson, Ed Sheeran and Cherry Seaborn, Karlie Kloss and Joshua Kushner, Zoë Kravitz, Hugh Grant, Jimmy Fallon, Benson Boone, Miranda Lambert, Kelsea Ballerini, Tommy Hilfiger, and many others.
One day before the ceremony, Taylor and Travis hosted an intimate rehearsal dinner at the Infosys Theatre inside Madison Square Garden. Close friends and family—including Lena Dunham, Jack Antonoff, Abigail Anderson, Erin Andrews, Greg Olsen, and several other longtime companions—joined the couple to celebrate ahead of the wedding.
Sources familiar with the preparations revealed that Madison Square Garden had been transformed almost beyond recognition for the event. In the days leading up to the ceremony, trucks carrying equipment, fresh grass, and elaborate decorations continuously arrived at the venue. Boxes labeled “Garden Party” and “Mirror Ball” were also seen outside. One insider remarked that they had “never seen Madison Square Garden look so different.”

Just before the wedding, Taylor Swift’s representative also announced that the couple had donated $26 million to several charitable organizations, including Feeding America, the ASPCA, and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. The contribution was made during the week of the wedding as part of the couple’s desire to celebrate their happiness by giving back to the community.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce announced their engagement in August 2025 through a joint Instagram post featuring photographs of Travis proposing during a romantic garden setting. In the caption, Taylor playfully wrote, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨.”
The singer also debuted her custom-designed engagement ring, created by Travis alongside Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry. The ring features an old mine brilliant-cut diamond set on a classic gold band.
Travis’ father, Ed Kelce, previously revealed that the NFL star had asked Taylor’s father, Scott Swift, for permission to propose about a month before the engagement. According to those close to the family, the Kelces have warmly embraced Taylor from the very beginning.
One insider explained, “Taylor goes out of her way to show the whole family how much she cares—not just for Travis, but for everyone, including Jason’s children. They’re all incredibly happy that Travis has Taylor in his life. She has truly changed his world for the better.”
The couple’s romance began during the summer of 2023 after Travis publicly admitted on the New Heights podcast that he had unsuccessfully tried to give Taylor a friendship bracelet containing his phone number during one of her Eras Tour concerts. Shortly afterward, the two began getting to know each other—with some unexpected help from Taylor’s mother, Andrea Swift.

In the documentary Taylor Swift: The End of an Era, Andrea recalled, “I kept seeing headlines about this guy who came to Taylor’s show with a friendship bracelet and wanted to meet her. So I called my cousin Robin, who’s our Kansas City Chiefs expert, and asked, ‘Tell me about this guy named Travis Kelce.’”
Andrea said Robin’s response immediately caught her attention: “Oh my God, he’s the nicest guy—and he really loves his mom.” Laughing, she remembered thinking, “Ding, ding, ding, ding. Now, how am I going to get her to meet him?”
During her appearance on New Heights in August 2025, Taylor jokingly acknowledged the podcast’s role in their relationship.
“I owe a lot to this podcast. This podcast got me a boyfriend ever since Travis decided to use it as his personal dating app about two years ago.”
Since making their relationship public, both have frequently expressed admiration and affection for each other. At the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, Taylor said during her acceptance speech, “Everything this man touches turns to happiness and fun and magic. I want to thank him for bringing all of that into my life.”
After the Kansas City Chiefs won the AFC Championship in early 2025, Taylor joined Travis on the field and told him, “I love you. I’m so proud of you.”
Later, during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in late 2025, Taylor referred to Travis as “the love of my life.” She reflected, “Getting engaged to the love of my life and getting all my music back were two things I genuinely thought might never happen.”

Travis has been equally open about his admiration for Taylor. In an interview with WSJ. Magazine, he admitted, “I’ve never dated anyone with that kind of aura. But I’m not running away from it. She deals with an unbelievable amount of attention every single day and still chooses to simply enjoy life. If she can handle it like that, then I certainly shouldn’t be the one acting differently.”
Born in 1989, Taylor Swift has become one of the most successful artists in music history, earning 14 Grammy Awards, breaking countless commercial records, and building one of the most influential catalogs in modern music. Her successful effort to regain ownership of her entire music catalog is widely regarded as one of the defining achievements of her career.
Meanwhile, Travis Kelce has established himself as one of the greatest tight ends in NFL history. A multiple-time Super Bowl champion with the Kansas City Chiefs, he is considered one of the defining players of his generation. Since his relationship with Taylor became public, his profile has expanded far beyond the sports world, making him one of the most recognizable athletes internationally.
With their wedding at Madison Square Garden, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce officially begin married life together. From a friendship bracelet that never reached its intended recipient, to a romantic garden proposal, and finally a star-studded wedding witnessed by family, friends, and some of the biggest names in entertainment, their journey has become one of the defining celebrity love stories of recent years.
