A MISSING dog has been reunited with its owner after PARTYING with Mexico fans at the World Cup.

The pooch, named Gordita, disappeared a month ago before the tournament had started. But she rocked up nine miles away from Ale Garcia’s Ciudad Victoria home on a live stream of Mexicans in the streets after their win over the Czech Republic.

Ale had put out a plea for help online after her beloved pet went AWOL.

She posted online appealing for anyone who had seen the dog to come forward three days after Gordita had gone.

There was silence until Ale’s brother saw a clip of fans dancing around in the Tamaulipas state capital just down the road. As fans flocked to celebrate a perfect group stage, one person spotted the dog and picked her up.

She was carried around as hundreds chanted and cheered following the dominant win.

Being swung from side to side, the dog doesn’t put up much resistance despite being paraded around.

Vids show more people enjoying time with the dog, and now Ale has her back. Writing on Facebook, she said: “Life is good, Mexico won and I found my dog after a long time through a live stream, hahaha, thanks for the messages, she’s home now and we’re going to take her to the vet.”

With the news picked up by local and international media, Ale and Gordita went on TV.

The dog was put in a Mexico top on air, and Ale joked: “She’s already claiming that she wanted to continue living life.”

She also put up a pic of Gordita being checked out by vets after so long away from home.

Ale said that it’s all “hard to believe” and gave an interview with Telediario Tamaulipas

And now there could be even more reason to celebrate after Mexico got through to the last-16 with a comfortable 2-0 win over Ecuador on Wednesday morning.

They will face England in Mexico City at the Azteca next.

This isn’t the only animal to make a name for themselves at the tournament after a Mexican duck was BANNED from a stadium earlier on. During the Czech Republic clash, viral sensation Merlin attacked president Claudia Sheinbaum and wasn’t allowed into the Azteca.

He had been dressed in a green Mexico home top and became a huge hit.
