MAIN MAN England team news vs Panama ‘leaked’ as Tuchel makes popular change and Mainoo set for first World Cup start

THE England line-up to face Panama has allegedly been leaked, with Kobbie Mainoo and Marcus Rashford expected to start.

Thomas Tuchel had been expected to rotate his line-up ahead of the match due to a series of injury concerns. Declan Rice has been managing a hamstring issue for the last six months and was seen with strapping on his leg after the 0-0 draw against Ghana on Tuesday.

Sky Sports journalist Gianluca Di Marzio now reports that he will be rested and replaced by Mainoo for the Panama clash.

Mainoo is rumoured to start in midfield alongside Elliot Anderson, who had an injury concern of his own earlier this week.

Anderson had been complaining of muscle soreness having played a full match against Croatia and 76 minutes against Ghana. Jude Bellingham is expected to keep his place in the No10 position.

In attack, Rashford is expected to step in for Anthony Gordon on the left wing, which will be a popular decision with the ex-Manchester United man so far looking the sharper of the two wingers.

Gordon, who completed a £70million move to Barcelona last month, struggled to impress against Ghana earlier this week.

Harry Kane will keep his place as England‘s main striker, captaining the side from the front. Noni Madueke could keep his place on the right side with Bukayo Saka still working his way back from an Achilles issue.

Tuchel has also been handed another dilemma in defence, with Reece James ruled out for the next two games at least with a hamstring injury.

Di Marzio states that Djed Spence will replace him at right-back, with Nico O’Reilly, Ezri Konsa and Marc Guehi completing the back four.

England have already booked their place in the World Cup knockouts but will win the group with a victory against Panama at New York New Jersey Stadium, so long as they aren’t outscored by Ghana who play Croatia.
