After five years of marriage, country music star Jon Pardi and his wife, Summer Pardi, have officially announced their decision to divorce. The couple shared the news in a joint statement posted on Instagram on July 3, bringing an end to a relationship that had long been admired by fans of country music.

In their statement, Jon and Summer explained that the decision came after considerable thought and reflection. They emphasized that their daughters will remain their highest priority and that they are committed to maintaining a respectful co-parenting relationship.

“After much thought, we have made the difficult decision to end our marriage. Our girls will always be our top priority, and we are committed to moving forward with love and respect as co-parents. Thank you so much for your understanding, support, and respect as we navigate this change as a family.”

The announcement surprised many fans, as only minutes earlier Summer had shared glimpses of her daily life with their daughters on social media. She posted a video of one of the girls playing on the floor of a home gym, writing, “Someone woke up early. That’s okay, we’re still going to go after it,” before showing followers the devotion books she uses for her daily prayer routine.

Shortly after the announcement, Jon Pardi posted an additional message on his Instagram Stories, revealing that he would be stepping away from social media for a while to focus on himself and his family.

“Thank you all for the love and support. My team will be handling posts during this time. I’ll see you at the shows.”

Despite the major change in his personal life, the singer is expected to continue his Honkytonk Hollywood Tour, which is scheduled to run through December. His decision to remain on tour suggests he intends to honor his professional commitments while taking time to adjust to this new chapter.

Jon and Summer are parents to two daughters, Presley Fawn, 3, and Sienna Grace, 2. In their statement, neither addressed the reasons behind their separation or suggested there had been any public conflict, choosing instead to focus on their shared commitment to raising their children together.

Their love story began in May 2017 through a blind date arranged by Ellen Moxley, one of Summer’s clients and a longtime friend of Jon’s mother. That meeting would prove to be life-changing for both of them.

Summer has previously recalled knowing almost immediately that Jon was the one. She once said, “Within the first five minutes of meeting Jon, the game was over for me. I texted my mom, ‘Sell my house, sell my car, send my dog.’” The lighthearted remark has often been remembered by fans as a symbol of the couple’s whirlwind romance.

Two years later, Jon proposed to Summer on stage during his Heartache Medication Tour stop in Nashville. The surprise proposal in front of thousands of fans quickly went viral and became one of the defining personal moments of his career.

In 2020, the couple married at Saddle Woods Farm in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Their original wedding plans were significantly altered because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but they ultimately chose to move forward with an intimate ceremony attended by close family and friends.

At the time of their wedding, Jon spoke openly about his love for Summer.

“Summer was love at first sight for me, the first time in my life. She’s the first girl I’ve ever dated that I felt truly supported me and that we were genuinely a team. Summer is incredibly beautiful on the outside, but that doesn’t compare to her heart and how caring she is. We have the most fun together in every situation, and we’re constantly laughing.”

Throughout their marriage, Summer frequently accompanied Jon to major country music award shows and industry events while occasionally joining him on tour. On social media, she largely focused on family life, motherhood, and her Christian faith, while Jon generally kept his personal life private.

Born in California in 1985, Jon Pardi has become one of the leading artists credited with bringing traditional country music back into the mainstream during the 2010s. After years of performing in bars and small venues around Nashville, he built a reputation for blending classic honky-tonk influences with modern country sounds.

His debut album, Write You a Song, released in 2014, introduced him to a wider audience with several charting singles. However, his breakthrough came with the 2016 album California Sunrise, which featured hits including Head Over Boots and Dirt on My Boots, firmly establishing him among country music’s biggest stars.

He later continued his success with albums such as Heartache Medication and Mr. Saturday Night, earning multiple nominations at both the Country Music Association Awards and the Academy of Country Music Awards. Throughout his career, Jon has maintained a reputation as an artist deeply committed to preserving the traditional roots of country music.

Unlike many celebrities, Jon Pardi has largely avoided major public scandals. His image has remained centered on his music, touring career, and family life. For that reason, news of the couple’s divorce has come as a surprise to many fans, as there had been little public indication that their relationship was facing difficulties.

Even so, the statement released by Jon and Summer reflects a mutual desire to end their marriage with dignity and respect. Rather than assigning blame or discussing the reasons behind their separation, they chose to emphasize their shared responsibility as parents and asked for understanding and privacy as their family adjusts to this new chapter.

For now, Jon Pardi is continuing with his scheduled performances while Summer remains focused on raising their daughters. After nearly a decade together since first meeting in 2017 and five years of marriage, the couple have chosen to close this chapter with a message centered not on conflict, but on love, mutual respect, and their unwavering commitment to their children.
