IVANA REPLAY World Cup’s sexiest fan Ivana Knoll in X-rated attack on Croatia vs Portugal ref over decision to send Ronaldo through

CROATIA fan Ivana Knoll slammed the decision to rule out a late equaliser against Portugal – which resulted in the nation’s World Cup exit.

Portugal clinched a 2-1 win against their European rivals on Thursday night – but the victory was overshadowed by a controversial decision. In the 103rd minute, Josko Gvardiol levelled the score with a close-range strike.

However, that goal was ruled out following a VAR check because Croatia striker Igor Matanovic was adjudged to have headed the ball to an offside team-mate earlier in play.

It was difficult to see if he touched it – but a microchip inside the ball suggested that he had.

Replays later showed that the ball appeared to touch his hair, but the trajectory of the cross did not change. Many Croatia fans have slammed the decision, with “the World Cup’s sexiest fan” Knoll – who was at the match – taking to social media to write: “Norwegian referee you did such a s*** job.”

Some fans have even looked back at the semi-automatic technology rulebook, finding that hair is only considered part of the body “if it affects the movement or trajectory” of the ball.

The full rule from Fifa states: “Hair is only considered part of the body if it affects the movement or trajectory of the ball. This is only likely in cases of significant contact with a mass of hair, such as a top knot.”

Croatian website Gol subsequently protested: “Since the video footage is inexorable proof that the ball did not change its trajectory by a single millimeter after contact with Matanovic, it is clear that this possible contact with hair should not have been characterized as active playing with the ball according to FIFA’s own regulations.” Matanovic later admitted that he felt the ball touch his hair as it was crossed into the box.

He said: “Honestly, I think I felt a little contact with the hair. And then I asked the referee what happened, I wasn’t sure if I touched the ball.

“He said there was a chip in the ball and it was offside.”

The special microchips have been planted into every World Cup ball used at the tournament to help with VAR decisions.
