Freddy Brazier Hospitalized After Being Attacked by His Own Pet Dog, Grandmother Jackiey Budden Also Injured While Trying to Save Him

Freddy Brazier, the son of television presenter Jeff Brazier and the late reality TV star Jade Goody, has been hospitalized after suffering a serious attack from his pet bulldog, Pablo, at his grandmother Jackiey Budden’s home in London. The incident left the 21-year-old requiring medical treatment, while Jackiey was also injured as she attempted to stop the dog.

According to reports from British media, Freddy sustained multiple dog bites and required stitches following the attack. He was visiting Jackiey Budden when the incident occurred. Witnessing her grandson being attacked, Jackiey immediately rushed to pull Pablo away but suffered injuries herself during the rescue.

A source said: “Jackiey was injured while attempting to pull Pablo off of him. Freddy was shocked when it happened and was left in a lot of pain.”

Freddy Brazier’s representative also confirmed his condition, saying: “Freddy is currently being treated, we will keep everyone updated on his recovery.”

The incident quickly attracted widespread attention because Freddy has long been known for his love of animals, especially dogs. Over the years, he has frequently shared photos of himself caring for pets on social media and has often spoken about how dogs bring him a sense of peace that he struggles to find with people.

Ironically, Pablo had previously been at the center of tension in Freddy’s relationship with his former girlfriend, Holly Swinburn. According to the Daily Mail, the couple had a major argument last July after Holly attempted to take the dog away from Freddy. The dispute reportedly escalated, leading the pair to end their on-and-off relationship.

Freddy and Holly had been considered one of Britain’s closely followed young couples. In March this year, they welcomed their first child, a daughter named Isla Jade Brazier in honor of Freddy’s late mother, Jade Goody. However, their family life reportedly became increasingly strained shortly after the baby’s birth.

Sources claimed Freddy moved out of the home he shared with Holly and their daughter in April following a disagreement involving his grandmother, Jackiey Budden. Holly reportedly did not want Jackiey to have contact with their newborn, believing that her lifestyle could have a negative influence on Freddy.

One insider revealed: “He has packed his bags and disappeared without telling Holly where he is. Holly loves Isla Jade and is taking motherhood really seriously, but Freddy is not the same — despite all the ‘happy family’ pictures they posted together on social media.”

After leaving the family home, Freddy reportedly moved in with Jackiey. British tabloids later published photographs showing him carrying bags into her home in southeast London, fueling speculation about the true state of his relationship with Holly.

Freddy’s relationship with Jackiey has also been far from straightforward. At one point, he uploaded an emotional TikTok video claiming that he had realized his grandmother had been lying to him for years. Alongside a photo of Jackiey, he wrote: “Prioritised my relationship with my mum’s mum not knowing she has been lying to me for years!”

Despite those accusations, the pair reportedly reconciled just before Christmas and were later seen together in public on several occasions. Their reunion came despite Jeff Brazier previously seeking legal measures to limit Jackiey’s contact with Freddy, fearing that she had a negative influence on his son.

In another incident that attracted media attention, Freddy and Jackiey were photographed smoking what onlookers described as suspicious-looking cigarettes near Tower Bridge in London. Witnesses claimed the smell was unlike ordinary tobacco. Responding to the criticism, Jackiey said: “As long as Freddy smokes with me he’s safe. At least I know what he’s smoking as it’s nasty out there.”

Freddy has also been open about his struggles with mental health. In a TikTok video posted late last year, he revealed that he had once attempted to end his life by crashing his car during a manic episode before his eighteenth birthday. His admission sparked concern among followers and highlighted the emotional challenges he has faced from a young age.

Born in 2004, Freddy Brazier is the younger son of television presenter Jeff Brazier and the late Jade Goody. After Jade died from cervical cancer in 2009 at the age of 27, Jeff became the primary caregiver for Freddy and his older brother, Bobby Brazier. Losing his mother at such a young age is widely believed to have had a profound impact on Freddy’s upbringing.

Unlike his brother Bobby, who has found success as an actor in the long-running television series EastEnders, Freddy has chosen a more private lifestyle. Although he has appeared alongside his father on several television programs, he has largely built his public profile through social media, where he shares moments from his daily life, family, and his passion for animals.

Last year, Freddy attracted attention after volunteering at London Dog Club, a dog daycare center. He posted numerous photos of himself caring for dogs, participating in agility training, and playing with the animals. Alongside the images, he wrote: “Do you prefer dogs or people? I personally at this moment in time prefer dogs.” When his brother Bobby responded with laughing emojis, Freddy replied: “People are draining, dogs are healing!”

For that reason, many people were especially surprised that Freddy was seriously injured by the very dog he loved so deeply. At the time of writing, no official explanation has been provided regarding what caused Pablo to suddenly become aggressive, nor has there been any update on the dog’s condition following the attack.

Freddy Brazier is currently continuing his medical treatment and recovering from the injuries sustained during the attack. Aside from the statement issued by his representative, the family has made no further public comments. As fans continue to send messages of support, the incident has once again placed Freddy’s eventful personal life under intense media scrutiny, from his family relationships and mental health struggles to his ongoing search for stability while growing up in the public eye.
