Blues Land England Star in Historic Deal
Chelsea have completed the blockbuster signing of England international Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa in a British record £117 million transfer, making the 23-year-old the most expensive British footballer in history.
The deal surpasses the previous record of £116 million, set earlier this summer when Elliot Anderson joined Manchester City. Rogers has signed a seven-year contract at Stamford Bridge, becoming one of the marquee arrivals of Chelsea's new era under head coach Xabi Alonso.

Rogers: "Chelsea Is the Biggest Club in London"
Speaking after completing the move, Rogers expressed his excitement about joining the Blues and revealed that conversations with Alonso played a decisive role in his decision.
"I'm so excited. Chelsea are the biggest club in London and a club I've admired since I was a kid," Rogers said.
The England forward added that Alonso's vision for the team perfectly matches his own playing style, saying he is looking forward to expressing himself in an attacking system that gives him freedom on the pitch.
Palmer Reunion Adds Extra Excitement
One of the biggest attractions for Rogers is the opportunity to reunite with his close friend Cole Palmer.
The pair came through Manchester City's academy together and have remained close ever since. Rogers revealed that Palmer had been constantly messaging him about the possibility of playing together again.
Their partnership is expected to become one of the key storylines of Chelsea's new-look attack, with both players capable of operating behind the striker, on the wings, or in advanced midfield roles.
Chelsea Beat Arsenal to the Signature

Arsenal had identified Rogers as one of their priority attacking targets this summer but ultimately decided not to match Aston Villa's asking price.
Chelsea acted decisively to secure the deal, despite the fact that Rogers leaves a Villa side competing in next season's UEFA Champions League to join a Chelsea team focused on rebuilding under Alonso.
A Versatile Weapon for Xabi Alonso
Former Chelsea midfielder Jody Morris described the signing as a major statement, highlighting Rogers' versatility and Premier League experience.
Capable of playing as a No. 10, winger or central midfielder, Rogers offers Alonso tactical flexibility and arrives after establishing himself as one of England's brightest young talents.
At just 23 years old, Chelsea believe they have secured a player who can become a cornerstone of the club's long-term project as they look to return to the top of English and European football.
